Streaming Video with Canstream

To stream video you will need a ‘webcam’ or a ‘video recording device’ a ‘microphone’ or ‘audio recording device’ and Adobe Flash Media Encoder.

1)      Install Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder through this website http://www.adobe.com/in/products/flash-media-encoder.html

 

2)      Set up Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder

 

3)      Insert your equipment such as webcam, microphone etc into your computer

Once your equipment is plugged in and recognised by your computer then Adobe Flash Encoder should pick this up.


4)      Select your equipment and follow the settings for you devices. Use the H.264 format and also ensure the correct Bandwidth preset is set with frame rate. We suggest the settings below.

 

 

  

5)      Enter the details Canstream sends you by email and check the ‘Auto Adjust’ box.

 

 

 

6)      Once you have entered your streaming details then you may click ‘Connect’ which should connect you to the streaming server and then press ‘Start’.

 

 

7)      As soon as you are connected you should receive streaming statistics along with the encoding log to successfully indicate that your streaming session has started.

 

 

 

8)      Canstream will send you the code you need to embed the Video through JS player on your website so the live video stream will play off your website.
